We are looking to hire an experienced, innovative, hands－on, and customer－obsessed Building ＆ Facilities Engineer that can drive innovation, standardization and expansion in our Last Mile Delivery network. As a member of our Japan Transportation Engineering team you will be responsible for leading the design, optimization and maintenance of Building Infrastructure, Material Handling Equipment and Processes of our existing and future Logistics network. You will also be available to support the launch of new delivery station launches, planning and implementation of the building launch schedule and coordination of suppliers and vendors.
Research all relevant local regulations relating to building compliance and review all technical documentation such as building layouts, traffic plans, flow diagrams, conveyor and equipment layouts, installation details, schedules and budgets to ensure that they meet requirements and are clear before issuing to contractors.
Support the site selection and evaluation process by drafting test fit layouts and researching building and site related information to identify any relevant issues that impact the economic or operational value of a site.
Obtain and manage all necessary building certifications, and lead on traffic, environmental and safety reviews
Lead the preparation of specifications and technical detail to fully define the requirements on building environment, equipment, material, process and services that support the procurement process
Review existing installations to facilitate the design and integration of additions or layout changes. Conduct occasional building environmental audits.
Maintain and execute a facilities maintenance program for all nodes including maintenance of environment, equipment, and utilities
Ensures Facilities adhere to all Environment, Health ＆ Safety policy and procedures. Be proactive in the raising of potential EH＆S issues and the development of personal safety awareness
Active involvement in cross functional infrastructure projects, provide technical input and conduct value engineering/ value analysis
【必須（MUST）】－ 2＋ years Civil Engineering or Facilities Management in a Manufacturing, Distribution or Fulfillment environment
－ Facilities Engineering, building maintenance, project management and implementation experience
－ Knowledge of civil engineering planning and analysis tools; solution driven approach to engineering challenges; advanced computer literacy （AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint）; Data－warehouse analysis
－ Experience in planning and organizing of technical projects inclusive appropriate prioritization, conflict resolution and delivery to time, need and budget.
－ A self－starting team player who is willing to roll up the sleeves and work closely with operations in the gemba
－ Open and proactive communication in a multi－lingual and diverse environment
－ Able to operate in open organization structure
－ Open minded to consider all facts and perspectives in decision making process
－ Bachelor’s degree （or higher）
－ Candidates will be experienced in Project Management （construction or implementation） , Civil, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
－ Good analytical, multi－function team leadership, organizational and communication skills
－ Ability to work autonomously
－ Hands on working style
－ Ability to work under pressure
－ Fluent or high intermediate level of Japanese; reading and writing ability in English
