Executes global sourcing strategies for key commodities and spend categories to achieve broad business objectives.
Implements innovative category management strategies to support new offerings, improve service and reduce costs.
Directs execution of supply chain strategies for contracting, supplier management, business partnering and savings.
Formulates strategies to address feedback from supply chain and business stakeholders to ensure objectives are met.
Provides expert supply chain perspective and makes recommendations to executive leadership and business colleagues.
Identifies and develops excellent working relationships with strategic business stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements and to support the business in achievement of its outcomes.
Provides supply chain support to the business in pursuit of highly complex new business opportunities.
Executes the development and negotiation of highly complex, corporate－wide agreements with suppliers encompassing key program specifications and functional objectives.
Assists with developing policies and procedures and directs personnel within supply chain area to carry out policies and procedures.
Assist with identifying and evaluating metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities and efficiencies, and works collaboratively with team members to prioritize and drive implementation.
Contributes and ensures their team contributes to annual savings targets.
Maintains and provides a current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends to team members and business partners.
Responsible for the hiring, performance management, and pay reviews of supply chain personnel.
Manages execution of global supply chain strategies including those for strategic sourcing, global category management, contracting and supplier management and business partnering.
Manages global team to ensure organizational alignment and performance meet business needs.
Provides support to the business in pursuit of highly complex new business opportunities.
Manages staff adherence to organizational policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with corporate governance.
Leads highly complex negotiations for major contracts.
Collaborates with business stakeholders to achieve savings targets to drive the best business outcomes.
Manages team implementation of assigned training to ensure a high standard of professional excellence is maintained among staff members.
Selects and hires employees. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product.
Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines.
Defines tasks and activities of staff, clearly describing deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for staff members.
Ensures development and use of personnel are effective in achieving financial goals.
Oversees operational controls to monitor performance and maximize the return on manpower investment.
Measures project progress against plan.
As applicable, provides input to operating and personnel budgets and monitors spend against budget
As applicable, approves overall project plan, budgets, task descriptions and work breakdown structure, developing schedules, and contingency plans.
Responsible for work status assessment and reporting. Responsible for controlling all expenditures on the work activity.
Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Master's degree in business administration or related field preferred
Twelve or more years of supply chain related experience
Nine or more years of supervisory or management experience included
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proven success in managing a team of people
Experience working with sourcing and contracting, strategic sourcing, category management and supplier management practices
Experience working with a global company
Experience working with company policies and procedures
