Our services aim to support sustainable agriculture, reduce carbon emissions, and improve farmers' profitability through carbon credits. We provide three primary services. Actaba : This service focuses on surveying the use of agricultural land. It's already deployed in over 40 municipalities and aims to expand further, evolving based on customer feedback. Actaba stands out as it has no direct competitors and has received positive evaluations from its users. Detaba : This is an app for surveying crop planting. Utilizing satellite imagery, Detaba infers the crops planted in a given area. This aids municipalities in ensuring lands are used as declared, simplifying the process of granting subsidies and gathering statistical data. Sagri : An app tailored for farming operations. It assists in optimizing fertilizer use by analyzing soil components through satellite imagery. This reduces the workload and addresses environmental concerns like global warming by minimizing excess fertilizer use. Sagri is currently under joint development with WAGRI, aiming to enhance agricultural data integration and provision. These services aim to support sustainable agriculture, reduce carbon emissions, and improve farmers' profitability by leveraging carbon credits, particularly in emerging countries. 【Who You Are】 Professional experience in a technical management or leadership role. Experience leading teams to deliver a product based on overall roadmaps Understand system design tradeoffs and make decisions to maximize velocity while maintaining product robustness Ability to document system design decisions for communication between different parts of the organization Be able to maintain high performance within a high-energy and fast-paced work environment. Have excellent oral, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Bilingual in English and Japanese is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. What You'll Do In this role, you will: Oversee the Sagri products and development team, making cross-functional decisions to realize the product roadmap, including addressing technical challenges, resource allocation, and hiring. Manage multidisciplinary teams of backend and machine learning engineers. Evaluate and implement strategies for enhancing productivity and maximizing the engineering organization's growth, focusing on the next three years. Foster the development of successors and next-generation leaders through recruitment and evaluation. Have worked with or experienced in satellite-based remote sensing, and have some understanding of agriculture.
