仕事内容 ◆Description
This company is a software engineering company that develops IDE for documents. It was founded by MIT and Stanford grad students, developing an assisted document editor for documents. It is a new document editor that employs error checking, reference checking and auto-completion using both rule-based approach and NLP, like what coding editors/IDE (e.g. VSCode, Pycharm) do.

◆Background & Traction
We are currently focusing on Lawyers who draft relatively standardized but long documents, such as contracts. With only two years after our product launch, we already have more than 7,500 active paid users. We have several long-term, large-scale contracts with famed enterprises and law firms. As a result, we have been highly profitable from Day 1 and experienced exponential growth without outside funding at all.

◆Technical Challenges We Solve
・Performance improvement using both partial analysis and full analysis
・Synchronization between user input and on-memory text
・Cache efficiency to increase highlight performance during/after user input
・Security preserving Natural Language Processing, such as Federated Learning

◆What’s your challenge
As a Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for:
・Continuously execute existing test sets, both automated and manual.
・Perform one-off focused tests on areas potentially impacted by recent changes.
・Conduct stress testing to evaluate system performance under extreme conditions.
・Write easy-to-understand and reproducible bug reports.
・Develop new test plans to enhance test coverage and write instruction documents..
・Advocate for customer expectations and behavior to improve product quality.

・Fully remote
※For employees residing near Tokyo, there may be opportunities to work in person several times a month

Flexible time: 6:00 am - 11:30 am / 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm

◆Visa and Relocation
Our teams are working fully remotely, and we are expanding our global presence. While our headquarters are currently in Japan, relocation to Japan is not mandatory. If you wish to relocate, we are happy to help you obtain a visa.

【必須(MUST)】

◆Skills
・Strong understanding of software testing methodologies.
・Proficiency in writing clear and concise documentation.
・Excellent communication skills for user interaction and team collaboration.
・Ability to advocate for customer perspectives.
・Experience with executing both automated and manual tests.
※We do not prioritize specific experience with particular tools and/or technologies

◆Experience
・3 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing.

◆Language Requirement
・Proficiency in English for effective communication
・Proficiency in Japanese for effective communication (especially reading)

◆Academic Background
・Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
