仕事内容 ＜This Position＞
TCMS Engineer is System Architect of rail vehicles. The TCMS (Train Control Management System) is a unified monitoring system of a train. It enables real‐time monitoring of all systems installed in a rail vehicle for efficient vehicle performance. Systems that the TCMS manages include but not limited to, Propulsion, APS, Braking, Doors, HVAC, Signaling and Train Wayside Control Equipment, Communication Systems.
As TCMS Engineer, you will build a TCMS through using your depth knowledge of each system installed in a vehicle and working side by side with engineers and vendors of the systems.

＜Primary Responsibilities＞
・Review and approve supplier / vendor designs (circuit design, SW / FW design, network design) and documents.
・Develop LRV level network architecture and requirements.
・Develop tracking sheet and action item list & hold weekly meetings.
・Configure top level system architecture from the technical specification requirements.
・Identify digital I/O signals and establish data transmission telegrams between TCMS and other sub‐systems and make ICDs (Interface Control Documents).
・Coordinate & participate with sub‐system testing, vehicle level development & integration testing.
・Participate in all sub‐systems and systems integration activities with a focus on sub‐system & system performance meeting the requirements.
・Work with Systems Integration Engineers in the conceptual, preliminary and final design for complex rail transit projects.
・Work with a team of engineers to provide systems engineering oversight for rail transit projects involving propulsion, braking, APS, doors, HVAC, signaling and train wayside control equipment, vehicle communication systems, etc.
・Provide technical direction and assure the accuracy of the work produced by vendors, including plans, specifications, and estimates.
・Discern technical problems, plans solution paths, and coordinate tasks with other engineers and suppliers for efficient resolution.
・Coordinate technical activities with the project management groups.
・Responsible for system interfacing to ensure proper coordination of the systems.
・Ensure compliance of systems design with technical specifications, all applicable codes and standards.
・Evaluate and may generate, block diagrams, interface drawings, state diagrams, electrical
schematics, test procedures, review verification test reports, and other technical documents.
・Support other departments within the company concerning engineering matters.
・Help with special projects as assigned by Department Manager

TCMSエンジニアは、TCMS（Train Control Management System）と呼ばれる列車の統合監視システムの設計をご担当いただきます。TCMSは効率的な車両性能を実現するため、鉄道車両に搭載された、推進装置、APS、ブレーキ、ドア、HVAC、信号、列車走行制御装置、通信システムなどのシステムをリアルタイムで監視することができます。
このポジションは、車両に搭載された各システムに関する深い知識を駆使し、各システムのエンジニアやベンダーと協力しながらTCMSを構築することが求められます。

【業務内容】
・サプライヤー/ベンダーの設計(回路設計、SW/FW設計、ネットワーク設計)および書類をレビューし、承認する。
・LRVレベルのネットワークアーキテクチャーと要件を作成する。
・トラッキングシートとアクションアイテムリストを作成し、週次ミーティングを行う。
・技術仕様要件からトップレベルのシステムアーキテクチャを構成する。
・デジタルI/O信号を特定し、TCMSと他のサブシステム間のデータ伝送テレグラムを確立し、ICD(インターフェース制御文書)を作成する。
・サブシステムテスト、車両レベル向上、統合テストを調整し参加する。
・要件を満たすサブシステムとシステム性能に焦点を当て、すべてのサブシステムとシステム統合活動に参加する。
・複雑な鉄道輸送プロジェクトの概念設計、予備設計、最終設計において、システム統合エンジニアと協働する。
・推進装置、ブレーキ、APS、ドア、HVAC、信号、列車運行制御機器、車両通信システムなどを含む鉄道輸送プロジェクトにおいて、エンジニアチームと協力してシステムエンジニアリングの監督を行う。
・技術的な指示を行い、計画、仕様、見積もりなど、ベンダーによる作業の正確性を確認する。
・技術的な問題を発見し、解決策を考案し、効率的に解決するために他のエンジニアやサプライヤーとタスクを調整する。
・プロジェクト管理グループとの技術的活動を調整する。
・システムの適切な連携を確保するための連絡役として機能する。
・システム設計が技術仕様、適用される全ての規範、規格に準拠していることを確認する。
・ブロック図、インターフェイス図、状態図、電気回路図、試験手順書、検証試験報告書、その他の技術文書を評価し作成する。
・エンジニアリングに関する社内の他部門をサポートする。
・部門マネージャーの指示に従い特別プロジェクトをサポートする。
労働条件 カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルスにて勤務可能な方（ビザサポートあり）
応募資格

【必須（MUST）】

・Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
・Practical knowledge in reading schematic (circuit) diagrams and understanding trainline functions.
・5+ years of experience designing and testing TCMS.
・Experience in using communication protocols analyzers and software.
・Practical knowledge in both electrical and SW engineering.
・Practical knowledge of Embedded Systems’ operating systems such as embedded windows, Linux, and RTOS.
・Practical knowledge of Graphical User Interfaces design and multithreaded systems.
・Practical knowledge in communication network systems such as Serial, LON Works, TCN (MVB and WTB), Ethernet network systems, etc.
・A team player with a strong determination to complete projects which may span several years.
・Excellent schedule management and task management skills, and proven ability to meet deadlines.
・Proactive problem solver on any issue, both technical and non‐technical.
・Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
・Ability to travel to various domestic and international destinations.

・電気工学、コンピュータサイエンス、機械工学、または関連分野の学士号をお持ちの方。
・回路図の読解力と路線機能の理解に関する実践的な知識を有する方。
・5年以上のTCMS設計/テスト経験をお持ちの方。
・通信プロトコルアナライザ、ソフトウェアの使用経験をお持ちの方。
・電気工学、ソフトウェア工学の実践的知識をお持ちの方。
・組込みWindows、Linux、RTOSなどの組込みシステムOSの実践的知識をお持ちの方。
・視覚的ユーザインタフェース設計、マルチスレッドシステムに関する実践的知識をお持ちの方。
・Serial、LON Works、TCN(MVB、WTB)、イーサネットネットワークシステム等の通信ネットワークシステムに関する実践的知識をお持ちの方。
・数年にわたるプロジェクトを完遂するという強い意志を持ったチームプレーヤー。
・スケジュール管理、タスク管理能力に優れ、期限を守ることができる方。
・技術的/非技術的な問題に積極的に取り組むことができる方。
・優れた文書および口頭でのコミュニケーション能力。
・国内外への出張が可能な方。
