About the Team The global procurement team facilitates multi-billion dollar annual purchases across 3 major sourcing hubs including Americas, EMEA, and Asia. Our mission is to enhance the business units' competitive edge by providing excellent "visible, controllable, and deliverable" procurement practices & solutions. . -The Vendor Management Specialist is a critical role that supports the growth, development, maturation, and optimization of our vendor management team, mainly focusing on the APAC region, and some adhoc global projects. This role requires vendor management or procurement experience, problem solving capability, critical thinking, strong and effective communication skills, ability to work across different cultures, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Responsibilities: - Vendor Onboarding and Verification: - Ensure accuracy of vendor onboarding information, risk assessment, and provide strategic advice and risk mitigation approaches in the vendor selection process. - Adherence to company standards, global policies, and local regulations. - System & Process Optimization: Identify, initiate, drive process and system improvements - Develop KPIs, metrics, reports that will drive the improvement of vendor performance - Analyze data to find issues and optimization opportunities - Provide regular reporting on vendor performance, risks, and compliance to management. - Procurement Transformation (training, operation): - Provide training and ensure ongoing awareness of regulatory obligations, impact assessment and action planning for the regional procurement team in an efficient manner. - Foster strong working relationships with both procurement teams and vendors, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring clear communication channels. - Development of best practices and effective governance for the regional procurement team. - Stay current with local laws, regulations, and business practices in Japan and other APAC countries, adjusting vendor management strategies as needed. - Collaborate with procurement and cross-functional teams to identify vendor needs, selection of appropriate vendors, and provide vendor information to negotiate contracts. - Cross functional Cooperation: - Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk Control, Finance, Payment, and Procurement teams to ensure supplier management processes align with company standards and local laws. - Other special projects as needed |
応募資格 |
【必須(MUST)】 Qualifications- Experience in vendor management, buying, or contract negotiations; proficient in supplier life cycle management - Solid understanding of local laws, regulations, and business customs in Japan and other APAC countries - Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders - Must be able to adapt to changing circumstances and navigate complex business landscapes; strong sense of responsibility and professionalism - Be a self starter and take initiative; comfortable working independently and in teams, and liaise with other functions and senior leadership |
