The JP Legal team is looking for an experienced, smart, and motivated attorney to support our rapidly growing operations and logistics businesses in Japan. The position reports to an experienced lawyer, who is Japan operation and logistics legal lead and reports to the US transportation legal director. The position will be responsible for supporting the rapidly growing transportation and logistics business in Japan, including new and innovative businesses and services. You will serve as the primary lawyer responsible for counseling the business on a broad range of commercial, regulatory and compliance matters for all transportation and logistics initiatives, operations and matters in Japan. You will work directly with the business, serving as a counsel on strategic deals and on the launch of new products and services; negotiating, structuring and drafting complex commercial transactions; coordinating with public policy and engaging with regulators to influence pending legislation and rule-making and in response to regulatory inquiries; advising on compliance requirements and assisting the business in designing and implementing risk-tested and scalable compliance. This position will be based in the Meguro headquarters office. We work in a hybrid and flexible environment where you come to the office at least 3 days a week. |
| 応募資格 |
【必須（MUST）】 - Law degree (J.D. or equivalent) from a leading university or law school.- Licensed to practice law in Japan, US or other common law jurisdiction. - A minimum of 5+ years of legal experience (with several years of experience at a leading national or international law firm). - The successful candidate must be proactive, enthusiastic, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. - Native Level Japanese and Fluent Level English. - Ability to draft legal documents in both Japanese and English strongly preferred. 【歓迎（WANT）】 - Hands-on project management experience, including excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage a large number and variety of mission-critical projects, working independently and often in ambiguous environments- Sound and practical business judgment as well as common sense - Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams - A team player and consensus builder with great people skills and a good sense of humor who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with attorneys and business clients at all levels throughout the organization - Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization - Experience in crisis management and response |
