Work hard, have fun and make history with Legal team. We are looking for a smart, motivated attorney to join our team. This position, based in Tokyo, will support rapidly growing and evolving Books and Manga business in Japan. You will serve as an attorney responsible for counseling the business on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters and structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and supporting programs that enable the distribution of Books and Manga in all types of formats to our customers. You will provide day-to-day advice in a wide range of legal areas, including e-commerce, copyright, marketing, commercial contracts and regulatory compliance. The attorney will be an integral part of the business and will need to be comfortable providing counsel directly to business leadership both on legal and business issues. The attorney will also work closely with US and other international legal and business teams worldwide. The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. The successful candidate will be client-service oriented, and be able to think big while also paying great attention to detail on tight deadlines. The successful candidate will also be able to prioritize appropriately and easily switch gears without sacrificing quality of work, maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, and have the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside. |
| 応募資格 |
【必須（MUST）】 • Law degree (J.D. or equivalent) from a leading university and law school.• Licensed to practice law in Japan and/or US or other common law jurisdiction. • 7-10 years of legal experience (with at least five years at a leading global law firm and/or in-house at a major multinational corporation). • Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing, draft and negotiate agreements in English and Japanese. • Experience supporting commercial transactions (including retail business), licensing or other intellectual property work. 【歓迎（WANT）】 • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.• Outstanding legal and business judgment. • Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced environment. • The ability to function as part of a global legal team and autonomously when required. |
