As a Country Representative, you are responsible for the profitable growth of the business in Japan, in line with the company's corporate objectives.
You will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and fully executing on account targeting and partner selling strategies in Japan.
Within the scope of these duties, you will work to build a team to deliver above－market growth rates in terms of product market share and provide incremental revenue to assist the organization in meeting its stated revenue and growth objectives.
You will work to ensure the appropriate Go to market strategy is developed and executed in each target territory and hospital in Japan. You will prepare and present effective oral and written communications, both internally and externally on a monthly and quarterly basis.
You must be able to show a documented record of achievement while also demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks, analyze problems, develop solution alternatives, and implement tactics needed to secure positive outcomes.
This requires a leader and ambitious high achiever, hungry to create and drive commercial success and is comfortable leading, coaching and developing a sales and marketing team together with engaging and interacting with customers throughout the acute care hospital setting in Japan from floor to C suite level.
You will be a relationship/trust builder within our Japan team and with our key distribution partners, and be a self－driven, goal orientated and very ambitious individual, who realizes that commercial success is the only meaningful measure of achievement.
【必須（MUST）】Qualifications ＆ Requirements
－Bachelor's Degree is required; a Master's in Business Administration preferred
－10 years ＋ Medical Device Sales leadership, Experience in the Respiratory Acute Care Hospital setting preferred.
－Strong Relationship skills, A Visionary leadership, preferably demonstrated in different business environments and models.
－Experience in driving strategic change to meet changing business needs, and exploring new business models. Proven experience working collaboratively as part of a leadership team, and the ability to influence decision making with business stakeholders in a complex, regional, environment.
－Must be at a Senior Sales and or Commercial Leadership position within Japan
－Demonstrated success in building a go－to－market strategy and national sales planning, building and leading a sales organization and dealing with third party distributors
－Demonstrated success in identifying and growing sales and marketing talent; proven ability to cultivate and develop high performing sales and marketing teams. Experience with strategic consultative selling.
－Prior record of accomplishment of successfully engaging and motivating highly productive sales and marketing teams.
－Proven experience working in a fast－paced, high growth Medical Device / Life Sciences company
－Ability to focus quickly on key priorities and mobilize others to act.
－Ability to challenge the status quo in a respectful, collaborative manner.
－Strong mentoring, coaching experience to a team with diverse areas of expertise.

－Previous experience in a direct sales organization within the Japan market
－Fluent English and Japanese speaker

－Build and provide leadership and vision to the Japan team by assisting with the development and execution of plans and with the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans.
－Plan and direct sales and marketing activities, such as targeting, pricing, product mix, promotions, advertising, sales targets, peer to peer programs, etc… so that agreed profit, sales and market share targets are achieved in order to obtain our objectives.
1. To drive end－user growth in Intensive care and critical care
2. To create demand, drive end－user growth and market adoption for our Drug Delivery technology in the emergency care departments and acute care wards
3. To maintain and grow our base in the home care ventilation business
4. And to ensure the integrated commercial success of the Japan direct organization:
• Corporate/National Accounts
• Customer service

－Deliver financial results through the achievement of key performance indicators, end－user sales, and distributor inventory targets for example and balanced scorecard results linked to Sales.
－Analyze financial and operational performance against plan and take all necessary actions to deliver company objectives
－Align with the VP of Sales Operations on strategic goals and objectives
－Drive the organizational and cultural changes needed to partner and advance our go－to－market strategies.
－Ensure the analysis, development, communication, and understanding of key market and customer trends
－Effectively leverage key industry information and market knowledge to gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Strengthen the external image of the business with key opinion leaders.
－Actively manage and develop the Japan business and support the achievement of the company’s management objectives
－Build and lead a high performing team, and model team and leadership behaviors for the rest of our sales and marketing organization.
－Provide high standards for performance feedback, development, and career conversations.
－Lead the effort to build leadership capabilities of high potential talent in the Japan Sales and Marketing organization, and actively build/sustain a pipeline of internal talent.
－Build and develop the capabilities of the Japan commercial team.
－Ensure open and effective lines of communication and collaboration with National Accounts, Marketing, Operations and other functions to achieve company－wide goals.
－Oversee the management of key customer relationships to foster customer advocates and help close strategic sales opportunities. Engage in major customer negotiations as appropriate, while leveraging managers effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
