Job Opportunity: Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to be based in Tokyo, Japan. The successful candidate will be responsible for US GAAP reporting, Local regulatory reporting and operational Finance processes for the BHSI Japan Branch. Duties & Responsibilities: • Work closely with Outsourced vendor to prepare US GAAP reporting packages • Prepare local regulatory returns and ensure compliance to regulatory timelines • Process payments for claims and operating expenses • Help set up systems and processes for Japan Branch • Work closely with other teams within the organization to achieve business goals • Liaise with external consultants like banks, tax agents and payroll vendor Qualifications, Skills and Experience: • University degree in Accounting or ACCA • Minimum 7 - 10 years’ experience in Finance in the insurance industry • Candidates with demonstrated stable growth within an organisation would be viewed favourably • Proactive and possess good problem solving skills • Good communication skills, including knowledge of business English • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills • Ability to work within a team environment |
