Background Due to the increasing number of pharmaceutical transaction projects—such as in licensing and corporate acquisitions—in Japan/Asia and globally, we are seeking an experienced professional who can independently lead the process from term sheet development through contract negotiation and execution. You will play a central role in business development and contract negotiations, driving projects forward while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Main Responsibilities • Drafting term sheets and designing deal structures for pharmaceutical in licensing projects • Reviewing and negotiating license agreements and related contracts as the primary lead • Coordinating and aligning with internal departments (R&D, clinical development, legal, IP, finance, corporate planning, etc.) • Engaging with overseas partner companies and external advisors (e.g., law firms) Position Attractiveness • Opportunity to lead core in licensing projects that influence mid to long term corporate growth • Direct involvement in decision making in close collaboration with management, R&D, and development functions • Opportunity to work on both Japan and global projects • Potential overseas assignment opportunities |

【必須(MUST)】 Must Have Requirements• Hands on experience as the primary lead in negotiating at least three term sheets and contracts for pharmaceutical in licensing • Practical experience in business development, contract negotiation, or related fields in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or life sciences • English proficiency: CEFR B2–C1 level Ability to read and revise English contracts Ability to engage in practical discussions with overseas partners in English -Native Japanese ability • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders Nice to Have Requirements • Work experience at a global pharmaceutical company, biotech, CRO, or consulting firm 【歓迎(WANT)】 • Practical experience in cross border transactions (contract negotiations with overseas companies) • Basic knowledge in any of the following: legal, intellectual property, finance • Experience managing multiple projects in parallel or project management experience Desired Personal Qualities • Ability to view contract negotiation not as a task, but as a strategic process to maximize business value • Ability to structure issues and drive decision making even under uncertainty • Strong ownership with a proactive, self directed working style • Positive mindset toward communication in a global environment |
