仕事内容 Position Overview
Lead/Support and transform the Japan Manufacturing Engineering organization. Drive strategic initiatives to close performance gaps with regional benchmarks, enhance equipment reliability, and build a high-performing team capable of supporting rapid product launches while maintaining sustainable operations and technical competency.
The role requires a visionary leader who can balance technical depth with strong people management to elevate the Japan ME function from reactive troubleshooting to proactive process/quality optimization and wasting elimination.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership (40%)
• Develop and Execute 3-Year ME Strategy
o Create compelling vision with clear goals to close performance gap with Japan operations
o Set measurable targets: OEE improvement (10% annual increase), past-due reduction, quality metrics
o Define roadmap for ME involvement expansion from post-G5 to G4/pre-production stages
o Align ME strategy with overall APAC Operations excellence initiatives
• Drive Organizational Transformation
o Build strong leadership bench by developing section managers for molding, assembly, and sustaining processes
o Establish clear ownership structure with defined responsibilities and accountability
o Foster culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and proactive problem-solving
o Eliminate dependency on overtime through efficient resource utilization and process optimization
• Benchmark and Knowledge Transfer
o Partner with Japan ME team to adopt best practices and advanced manufacturing technologies and competencies
o Identify and implement proven methodologies from high-performing sites
o Lead technology innovation initiatives specific to Japan operations strengths
Operational Excellence (35%)
• Equipment and Process Reliability
o Ensure all production equipment operates at target performance levels (maintain/exceed 80% OEE/OEU)
o Eliminate recurring equipment failures through robust root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions
o Implement predictive maintenance strategies to minimize unplanned downtime
o Drive sustaining engineering activities to optimize existing production lines
• Past-Due Management and Production Support
o Lead initiatives to systematically reduce past-due volumes
o Provide technical expertise to resolve critical production bottlenecks
o Establish priority framework for resource allocation during peak demand periods
o Coordinate with MDE to ensure smooth handover of new products to manufacturing
• New Product Introduction (NPI) Support
o Expand ME involvement earlier in product development lifecycle (G2 stage and before)
o Collaborate with MDE to validate equipment designs and manufacturability
o Lead G5+ equipment installation, qualification, and ramp-up activities
o Ensure robust process documentation and operator training for new launches
Team Development and Management (20%)
• Build High-Performing Team
o Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent (current team: molding, assembly, stamping ,plating……)
o Implement structured training programs: root cause analysis, technical drawing, problem-solving methodologies
o Support Japan ME to develop succession plans for critical positions; address immediate gaps
o Conduct regular 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and career development discussions
• Leadership Capability Building
o Mentor section managers/supervisors to enhance their technical skill
o Delegate effectively while maintaining appropriate oversight
o Create environment encouraging ownership, initiative, and cross-functional collaboration
o Model behaviors aligned with company values and operational excellence principles
Cross-Functional Collaboration (5%)
• Partner with Plant Operations leadership to align priorities and resources
• Coordinate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams on improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with Japan ME network for regional projects and standardization efforts
• Interface with MDE to resolve new product issues and improve handover processes

【必須(MUST)】

• Continuous improvement and problem-solving capability
• Troubleshooting expertise
• Assembly equipment , ability to read and understand equipment design drawings and specifications
• Experience in automotive or precision electronics manufacturing
• Cross-functional coordination and horizontal leadership skills
• Japanese


【歓迎(WANT)】

• Equipment design experience, CAD software proficiency
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification
