Job Title: Financial Analyst Location: Yokohama, Japan (hybrid - 2/3 days in office) Type: Permanent, full-time About the role: We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our APAC finance team. This role will support financial planning, reporting, and performance analysis for the local business while working closely with regional teams across APAC. You will play an important role in supporting business decision-making by providing clear financial insights and helping to improve the quality of financial reporting and planning. As this role works closely with international stakeholders, strong English communication skills are essential. This is a great opportunity for an early-career finance professional who is looking to develop their FP&A experience while collaborating with a global team. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver financial planning and analysis (FP&A) support for the Japan business. - Support business partners and the Senior APAC FP&A Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. - Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions. - Conduct market analysis and research to inform business planning and financial modelling. - Monitor key performance indicators, identifying trends and providing actionable insights. - Collaborate with APAC FP&A teams to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of financial reporting and information. - Identify financial risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation plans or improvement initiatives. - Prepare financial presentations and reporting materials for senior leadership and management meetings. To thrive in this role, you will have... - 2–3 years’ experience in a Finance Analyst, FP&A, accounting, or similar finance role. - Strong English and Japanese communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to work with international stakeholders. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to present financial information clearly. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Good Excel and financial analysis skills. - A proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and cultures. - High attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop within a global finance environment.
