仕事内容 【INTRODUCTION】

Join the Digital & Technology team at Universal Studios Japan and help build the server infrastructure that powers a world-class theme park, setting the standard for next-generation park experiences globally.

In this role, you will work in a multicultural, bilingual environment to design, build, and operate critical infrastructure platforms supporting park operations and large-scale digital transformation initiatives. You will collaborate with global teams, including our US-based counterparts, while working closely with local teams in Japan.

Your work will directly enhance both Guest and Crew Member experiences by enabling seamless, efficient park operations through reliable and scalable digital technology.


【JOB SUMMARY】

As a core member of the server infrastructure team, we are looking for a server engineer to build and manage server infrastructure platforms and support various large-scale technology initiatives in our theme park business.

This role will be involved in building and maintaining server infrastructure platforms and their operations. You will collaborate with a wide internal network, including US-based teams, while working closely with local teams in Japan to resolve technical issues and define long-term operational programs.


【ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES】

・Build and manage server infrastructure supporting various systems required for theme park operations
・Design and optimize server platforms
・Develop operational processes in collaboration with Solution Delivery, Networking, Security, and IT Operations teams
・Support application migration from existing systems
・Handle incident response and escalation related to server infrastructure and operations
・Perform other administrative and support tasks as needed
労働条件 【EMPLOYMENT TYPE】
Permanent Employee

【SALARY】
Negotiable
- Salary: Determined based on experience, age, and other factors in accordance with company policy.
- Salary Increase: Annually (once a year)
- Bonus: Twice a year (Summer and Winter)
※For positions of Assistant Manager and above, a performance-based bonus is paid once a year.
- Allowances:Full transportation allowance
- Overtime and holiday work pay
※Assistant Manager positions and above are exempt as they are considered managerial/supervisory roles.
- Late-night work allowance
- Other allowances based on company regulations.

応募資格

【必須(MUST)】

<LANGUAGE>
・Japanese: Native-level proficiency
・English: Business proficiency, with the ability to collaborate with US-based teams
・Conversational English proficiency and a willingness to actively use English in a global environment may also be considered

<Experience>
・Experience in building and operating physical servers and on-premise virtualization platforms using VMware products
・Experience with Windows and Linux environments
・Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
・Experience in monitoring and managing infrastructure environments using relevant tools

【歓迎(WANT)】

<Experience>
・Experience in building and operating basic infrastructure services such as mail and DNS
・Experience with storage systems, backup solutions, and load balancers
・Experience in database administration (DBA)
