The Commercial Legal Director in Japan will lead and manage all commercial legal matters within the organization, providing strategic legal advice to support business objectives. This role involves leading the Japan Legal team, managing team member(s), overseeing contract negotiations, managing legal risks related to commercial transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders including sales, procurement, other members of Box’s global legal team, and senior management. This is a tremendous opportunity to join an established legal team and add significant value to a dynamic and disruptive company. In this role, you will help make an immediate impact on issues within the organization and be part of its fun culture. This role will be based in Box’s Tokyo office. ⚫Developing and implementing the Japan Legal strategy and procedures in line with the Global Legal team. ⚫Organizing and establishing day-to-day management of the Japan Legal team member and processes in line with agreed objectives and the Japan GTM’s strategic plan. ⚫Lead negotiation and drafting of complex commercial contracts to protect the company’s interests while enabling business growth. ⚫Lead the provision of legal advice to the Japan Leadership Team and the team member in K.K. Box Japan’s business activities and in proffering solutions to legal issues, constraints, risks, options, consequences and approaches. ⚫Collaborate with business leaders on updates and revisions to programs and Box policies where needed. ⚫Review and sign-off of various legal templates including translation. ⚫Carry out other tasks/projects assigned by Legal senior management or the Japan Leadership team. ⚫Mentor and guide the Japan Legal team member(s) to build capability within the department. |

| 応募資格 |
【必須（MUST）】 ⚫Work experience in a law firm or the legal department of a commercial entity in Japan (more than 10 years)⚫Knowledge of Japanese law and some familiarity of Anglo-American law ⚫Knowledge of Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information, GDPR and/or US privacy legislation is preferable. ⚫Proven track record in negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts ⚫Native level Japanese with the ability to communicate in English (business level) ⚫Qualified lawyer or Legal educational background (law degree or law school graduate) ⚫Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills ⚫Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities ⚫Commercially minded with strong problem-solving abilities ⚫Demonstrating leadership capabilities, including ability to manage team members to attain goals. ⚫Love to learn new technologies, tools and eager to grow continuously. 【EQUAL OPPORTUNITY】 We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
