The opportunity We are looking for passionate and driven Radio HW Design Power Amplifier Engineer to join our team. We are now looking for an Intermediate or Senior Power Amplifier (PA) Designer to join our growing and highly diverse team. In this role, you will develop power amplifiers for Ericsson’s future Radio Systems, contributing across the full product lifecycle—from early study to deployed products and after-market support. Our portfolio spans all relevant power levels and frequency bands used in mobile narrowband and broadband applications. You will work in an environment that values innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration across disciplines and organizations. As a Power Amplifier (PA) Designer you will develop PAs for Ericsson future Radio Systems. We are working on all horizons: pre-product, product development as well as after-market. The amplifiers cover all applicable power levels and frequencies used for mobile narrow band and broadband applications. This is an opportunity to develop as a professional in selected areas through work across various areas of pre‑development, product development and aftermarket activities. This is an opportunity to design radio products that will be part of Ericsson’s portfolio deployed in Japan and globally and contribute to Ericsson’s Technology Leadership. A HW Integration member in PEU Radio is responsible for making the radio hardware work as a complete system—by integrating boards, modules, software, and test environments, and by verifying that the product meets technical, regulatory, and quality requirements before release. This opportunity is ideal for engineers who thrive in hands-on environments, enjoy solving complex measurements and verification challenges, and want to grow their careers in an innovative, collaborative, and forward leaning organization. You will be part of global R&D network in chosen area of interest with access to Ericsson’s leading technology You will be directly involved in the development of Ericsson’s next generation of radio network products, contributing to both system design understanding and end-to-end performance validation. If you are motivated by technical depth, problem-solving, and cross-functional teamwork—and you want to be part of a company building the future of radio technology—this is the role for you. Key responsibilities - Be part of design and development for Ericsson future radio systems, from innovation and research prototypes to product development and field support - Conduct product relevant simulation, schematic or drawing design, testing, and performance analysis to drive continuous product improvement - Work hands -on in the lab with top-of-the-line instrumentation - Integrate radio HW boards, modules, and nodes into a working radio system - Ensure HW works together with ASICs, FPGAs, RF chains, power, and mechanics - Support early integration to detect system issues as early as possible - Securing and optimizing the radio unit’s functionality and RF performance to be as good as possible. - Integrate radio HW modules, boards, and nodes at system level - Execute and drive HW and system-level verification and troubleshooting - Support node integration, lab bring-up, and test environment readiness - Act as a cross-functional technical interface between design, verification, and projects - Collaborate closely with system architects, software teams, vendors and operators to meet performance, reliability and manufacturability targets - Investigate and troubleshoot test system issues, driving resolution and improvement activities. - Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers; participate in cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment |
