About us Ericsson is opening a state‑of‑the‑art R&D center in Yokohama focused on Radio and Software development. This new hub will support leading Japanese CSPs, partner with local vendors and deliver Japan‑driven products and solutions that shape networks worldwide. We are establishing and growing the team and building advanced laboratory and office facilities. We are hiring across different experience levels — from early‑career engineers to experienced developers and technical leaders. The opportunity You would participate in and lead radio system design work for a cross‑functional engineering team to turn high‑level market and product needs into concrete requirements for next‑generation radio products. The role combines hands‑on technical ownership: defining and documenting product/spec requirements, driving continuous product and process improvements, troubleshooting and customer support, and coordinating with Product Management, program teams and other design sites. |

【必須（MUST）】 Who we wantWe welcome applicants across a range of experience levels — from early‑career engineers eager to grow in radio system engineering to senior engineers seeking technical leadership opportunities - with background in wireless communications, radio systems, firmware, hardware, software, or systems engineering with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or related field (BSc/MSc or equivalent) Having a willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to team and product success regardless of experience level. 【歓迎（WANT）】 Desired skills (depending on system role)- Radio systems knowledge: LTE/5G NR, OFDM, MIMO, beamforming - Radio Requirement allocation between different parts of the radio - Functional Systemization for HW and SW parts - Study leaders for new radio products - RF/hardware design and measurement, antenna systems, lab instrumentation - Embedded/firmware development (C/C++), Linux, BSPs - Signal processing and algorithm development (MATLAB, Python) - Network protocols, system integration and troubleshooting - Experience with product release, lifecycle management and working with carriers - Good communication skills; Able to work in English; Japanese language skills are a welcome advantage What we offer - Meaningful work on global products with local impact in Japan - Competitive benefits and professional development opportunities (training, conferences, research collaborations) - Collaborative environment with close ties to local vendors and operators - Clear career paths from individual contributor to technical leadership or management - Flexible working arrangements and supportive R&D culture |
