A renewable energy developer and owner－operator is seeking a Project Development Manager to lead and support the development of utility－scale renewable energy projects in Japan. This role covers the full project development lifecycle, from early－stage site identification through permitting, stakeholder coordination, and readiness for construction. The position offers significant responsibility, visibility to senior management, and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of renewable energy assets in the Japanese market. Key Responsibilities will include: Project Development － Lead and manage utility－scale renewable energy project development in Japan － Drive project schedules, budgets, and key development milestones － Coordinate technical, environmental, legal, and commercial workstreams Permitting ＆ Regulatory Affairs － Develop and execute permitting strategies in compliance with Japanese regulations － Manage interactions with national and local government authorities － Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on project development Land Acquisition ＆ Stakeholder Engagement － Support land acquisition and contract negotiations with landowners － Engage with local communities, municipalities, and other stakeholders － Manage external consultants and advisors related to land and permitting Commercial ＆ Investment Support － Support project feasibility analysis, financial evaluation, and internal approvals － Prepare project materials for financing, partnerships, or asset transactions － Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders during commercial processes Internal Collaboration － Work closely with teams such as engineering, construction, finance, and legal teams － Support smooth handover from development to construction and operations |

【必須（MUST）】 Required Qualifications－ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business, environmental studies, or a related field － Strong experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or real asset project development － Strong understanding of project development processes in Japan － Experience engaging with Japanese regulatory authorities and local stakeholders － Proven project management capabilities 【歓迎（WANT）】 Preferred Qualifications－ Experience with utility－scale solar, wind, or battery energy storage projects － Experience working with IPPs, developers, utilities, or infrastructure funds － Familiarity with project finance and investment processes Advanced degree or professional certification Skills ＆ Competencies － Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously － Structured, analytical, and execution－oriented mindset High level of ownership and accountability － Fluent－level Japanese |
