Site Operations Department The Site Operations Department ensures the overall health of all mechanical/electrical systems, building maintenance, and data module performance. Staffed 24/7 by Critical Facilities Engineers (CFEs), this team is the face of Vantage, guaranteeing business continuity and operational excellence. Using a CMMS to track all activities, our culture rewards proactive engagement with customers and facility infrastructure. Position Overview The Manager Chief Engineer oversees a data center site and its CFE team, managing vital electrical/mechanical infrastructure operations. This includes capacity management, performance optimization, and incident response. The role requires expertise in mission- critical facility management, including change, event, and incident management to ensure best-in-class service. Essential Job Functions ● Maintain high quality by ensuring team proficiency in planning, performing, and reporting maintenance. ● Ensure reliable infrastructure, emphasizing energy efficiency, service continuity, and budget constraints. ● Oversee site surveillance via monitoring systems and regular inspections. ● Manage team workflow, training plans, event planning, customer communication, and performance. ● Guide the team on complex tasks: MOP development, testing, sparing, capital planning, and lifecycle management. ● Direct daily engineering and operations to ensure safe and effective equipment performance. ● Promote a team-oriented environment through positive feedback and accountability. ● Ensure positive customer experiences through a customer-focused facility team. Duties and Responsibilities ● Maintain 24/7 emergency standby duty for mission-critical operations. ● Enforce VDC safety policies and ensure appropriate PPE usage onsite. ● Ensure all activities follow approved mission-critical work rules and procedures. ● Review and approve electrical solutions and switching operations for planned and unplanned events. ● Report facility anomalies (power, temp/humidity, alarms) and ensure prompt mitigation. ● Maintain and review up-to-date MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, and ERPs for regulatory compliance. ● Monitor infrastructure load capacity to prevent overloads during failovers. ● Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with MOPs and VDC site rules. ● Develop team expertise in building systems to ensure rapid response to emergencies. ● Conduct periodic crisis management drills and measure team competency. ● Verify audit findings and ensure timely completion of improvements. ● Review environmental efficiency (PUE, WUE) and address deficiencies. ● Coordinate with Construction on commissioning and ensure defect remediation. ● Confirm contractor scopes of work meet VDC standards and requirements. ● Manage maintenance workflows and spare parts inventory via internal CMMS. ● Meet availability targets for technical infrastructure across all facilities. ● Evaluate contractor performance periodically against VDC standards. ● Approve Change Records, Work Orders, and service schedules. ● Lead post-event reviews to identify root causes and implement remediation. ● Ensure PM and work orders are completed within global SLAs. ● Provide technical leadership and support during critical incidents. ● Manage facility service contracts, including bidding, awarding, and administration. ● Maintain tool/supply inventory and ensure vendor service reports are collected. ● Evaluate facility tools/systems and suggest cost-effective improvements. ● Ensure major projects follow VDC processes from planning to close-out. ● Provide annual OPEX and CAPEX estimates for budget planning. 【日本語版】 Vantage Data Centersについて Vantage Data Centersは、世界的なハイパースケーラー、クラウドプロバイダー、大企業に データセンター・ソリューションを提供しています。北米・欧州・中東・アフリカ・アジア 太平洋で事業を展開し、革新的な設計により信頼性・効率性・持続可能性を飛躍的に向上さ せ、市場ニーズに即応できる柔軟な運用環境を実現しています。 サイト運用部門について サイト運用部門は、データセンター内の全機械・電気システム、施設維持、データモジュー ルの性能管理を統括します。主要施設エンジニア（CFE）が24時間365日常駐する 「Vantageの顔」として、事業継続と優れた運営品質を保証します。CMMS（保守管理シス テム）を活用して全業務を管理しており、インフラや顧客に直接関わる高いパフォーマンス を正当に評価する文化があります。 募集ポジションの概要 マネージャー・チーフエンジニアとして、担当サイトのCFEチームを統括し、電気・機械イ ンフラの運用管理（キャパシティ管理、最適化、トラブル対応等）を担います。最高水準の サービス提供のため、変更・イベント・インシデント管理など、ミッションクリティカルな 施設管理における高度な専門知識が求められます。 主な職務内容 ● 保守業務の計画・準備・施行・報告におけるチームの習熟度を高め、高品質な維持 管理を徹底する。 ● エネルギー効率、サービス継続性、予算枠を考慮し、信頼性の高いインフラ運用を 実現する。 ● 監視システムと定期点検を駆使し、施設の継続的な監視体制を維持する。 ● 作業フロー、研修計画、インシデント対応、顧客対応、採用、業績管理を統括する 。 ● MOP（手順書）策定、試験計画、予備品管理、資本計画等の困難な課題に対し、チ ームを指導しリスクを解消する。 ● 全設備の安全かつ円滑な稼働のため、日次のエンジニアリング・運用業務を監督・ 執行する。 ● ポジティブなフィードバックを通じてチームワークを醸成し、従業員の職務責任を 明確化する。 ● 顧客本位のチーム運営により、優れた顧客体験を提供する。 業務詳細 ● 24時間365日のミッションクリティカルな運用のための緊急待機体制を維持する。 ● 安全方針の遵守と個人用保護具（PPE）の適正使用を現場で徹底する。 ● 全ての物理的作業が、規定の作業規則および承認済み手順に従って実行されるよう 管理する。 ● 計画的・突発的事象における電動設備の処置および切替操作を精査・承認する。 ● 施設の稼働異常（電力、温湿度、アラーム等）を報告・エスカレーションし、是正 措置を講じる。 ● 各種手順書（MOP/SOP/EOP/ERP）の配布と定期的レビューを行い、最新技術・公 的規制への適合を維持する。 ● インフラ負荷容量を監視し、フェイルオーバー時の過負荷を防止する。 ● 外部委託先がVDCルールおよびMOPを遵守するよう、チームによる常時監視を徹底 する。 ● ビルシステムへの深い理解を促し、異常検知や緊急事態への即応体制をチームで構 築する。 ● 定例の危機管理訓練を実施し、不測の事態に対するチームの対応能力を評価する。 ● コンプライアンス監査結果を確認し、改善策を速やかに遂行する。 ● 環境効率（PUE、WUE等）を評価・報告し、問題の改善策を講じる。 ● 建設チームと協力し、試運転への参加や施工不良の迅速な解決を推進する。 ● 外部委託先の作業範囲がVDC基準および要件を満たしているか確認・管理する。 ● CMMSを通じた保守フローの遵守と、グローバル基準での予備品在庫管理を徹底す る。 ● 全施設における稼働率および技術インフラ目標の達成・維持を推進する。 ● 外部委託先の実績を定期的に評価し、VDCの要件遵守を管理する。 ● 変更記録、作業指示書、サービス計画、および関連スケジュールを精査・承認する 。 ● 用意された是正措置を評価・承認し、その進行状況を監督する。 ● チームのスキル開発を可視化し、運用要件に則ったトレーニングを徹底する。 ● 技術評価とコスト案を含む、計画・是正プロジェクトの提案書を作成する。 ● 事後検証（ポストイベントレビュー）を率い、根本原因の特定と再発防止策を適用 する。 ● 予防保全および作業指示をグローバルSLA内で完了させる。 ● 重大インシデント発生時に、チームに対し技術的な指導・サポートを行う。 ● 委託業務の管理（サービス範囲策定、入札、成約、契約管理等）を行う。 ● 工具・消耗品の安定供給を維持し、ベンダー報告書の集約・作成を徹底する。 ● 設備工具・システムの性能を評価し、効率化のための改善策を提案する。 ● 主要プロジェクトをVDCプロセスに沿って計画・実行・完了まで管理する。 ● 予算策定のため、年間運営費（OPEX）および資本支出（CAPEX）の見積を提出す る。 |

【必須（MUST）】 ・Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field, or equivalent work experience required.・5+ years of experience in facility/plant engineering and maintenance supervision ・Possess registered Local Government certification to perform electrical switching and/or mechanical services operations. ・3+ years of experience in management position with 5 or more direct reports ・Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service ・Managing preventive and corrective maintenance activities undertaken by vendors and staff ・Experienced in the process of locking out / making installations safe after incidents. ・Knowledge and experience in resetting circuit breakers in electrical equipment. ・Maintaining governance of a site through readings and measurements on equipment and directing corrective action as needed ・Leading teams by example and encourage process improvement. ・Developing the team’s problem solving and analytical skills ・Skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and other office applications ・Ability to understand building automation systems (BMS/CMMS), and proficiency in design and technical documentation applications (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore) ・Possess reliable transportation for reporting to work for shifts or responding to emergencies. ・Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated report writing, attention to detail and complex organizational skills. ・Strong judgment and instincts with skills to lead and develop the team. ・Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment and establish pathways to deliver ・Experience in supervisory and leadership development ・工学、経営学または関連分野における学士号取得者、もしくは同等の実務経験がある方。 ・施設 / プラントエンジニアリングおよび保守管理における5年以上の経験を有すること。 ・電力開閉作業および / または機械設備の保守作業を行えるような、地方自治体登録資格をお持ちの方。 ・5名以上の直属部下を率いる管理職経験が3年以上ある方。 ・優れた社内外顧客対応の実績をお持ちの方。 ・ベンダーやスタッフによる予防 / 是正作業の管理経験がある方。 ・インシデント発生後のロックアウト / 作業安全対策の実施経験がある方。 ・電気設備における遮断器の復旧操作に関する知識と経験がある方。 ・設備の点検 / 計測による現場管理を行い、必要に応じて是正措置を指示できる方。 ・自ら手本となってチームを率い、業務改善を促進できる方。 ・チームの問題解決能力と分析能力を育成できる方。 ・Microsoft Officeアプリケーション（Word、Excel、PowerPoint、Project）とその他オフィスアプリケーションを使いこなせる方。 ・ビルオートメーションシステム（BMS / CMMS）について理解したうえで、設計・技術文書作成アプリケーション（AutoCAD、Bluebeam、Procore）を使いこなせる方。 ・シフト勤務や緊急対応の際、出社可能な交通手段をお持ちの方。 ・口頭 / 文書によるコミュニケーション能力や報告書の作成能力に長け、注意力が高く、複雑な業務管理能力を発揮できる方。 ・判断能力と洞察能力、およびチームを率い育成する能力に長けた方。 ・複雑かつスピード感ある職場で業務の優先順位を付けながら、成果を上げるための道筋を立てられる方。 ・監督業務およびリーダー育成の経験がある方。 【歓迎（WANT）】 ・Prior experience with ISO and OHS/EHS control processes considered advantageous.・ISOおよびOHS / EHS管理プロセスに関する実務経験があれば尚可。 |
