【募集の背景 / Purpose & Scope】
The Foundations Analyst is part of the Procurement Foundations team, which exists to keep our global category teams “match fit” and enable them to deliver maximum value to the business. This role provides flexible, hands-on support, focusing on the areas where additional capacity and executional expertise are needed most, such as Scope 3 supplier collaboration, SRM activities, risk management tasks, working capital initiatives, and reporting to drive enterprise cost optimization.
Procurement Foundations retains ownership of Procurement policies and governance, and partners closely with the S2P Pod in Global Business Solutions (GBS). While GBS manages transactional execution and data integrity , the Foundations Analyst works closely with the Insights & Capability Lead and Digital Lead to execute reporting, analyze data, and provide day-to-day support that enables the rollout of policies, frameworks, and tools.
This role plays a critical part in bridging strategy and execution, ensuring that key initiatives have the practical support needed to move forward, while offering the opportunity to develop broad exposure across Procurement priorities and build expertise across multiple domains.

o Support initiatives that drive cost optimisation and working capital improvement by providing reporting, analysis, and executional support.
o Contribute to data preparation and analysis to inform category strategies and highlight potential opportunity areas.
o Assist with the implementation of updates to policies and governance as directed, ensuring alignment with third-party commitments and operational processes.
o Engage in agile processes and team activities to enable smooth execution and maintain focus on measurable outcomes.
• R&D Productivity
o Support the delivery of insights and supplier intelligence by gathering data and generating reports to accelerate innovation partnerships.
o Contribute to governance and risk processes by providing executional support that strengthens resilience and continuity of critical R&D inputs.
• Strategic Brand Growth
o Support the development of supplier value roadmaps through SRM, unlocking innovation and competitive advantage.
o Assist with the implementation of procurement policies aimed at improving user experience, enabling faster, more effective stakeholder engagement.
o Contribute to Scope 3 sustainability initiatives to reinforce brand trust with patients, regulators, and healthcare professionals.

【職務の内容 / Essential Job Responsibilities】
(雇入れ直後)
1. Executional Support Across Priority Areas
• Provide flexible, hands-on support for high-priority Procurement initiatives, including Scope 3 collaboration, SRM activities, supplier risk management, and working capital improvement.
• Adapt quickly to shifting business needs by supporting a range of projects and stakeholders across global Procurement.
• Prepare and coordinate materials and data for category impact assessments, supplier governance meetings, and strategic planning sessions.
2. Data Gathering, Reporting, and Analytics
• Collect, clean, and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability for reporting and decision-making.
• Generate reports using tools developed by the Digital Lead to provide visibility into Procurement performance, supplier risk, and sustainability metrics.
• Identify and escalate data quality or process issues to the Insights & Capability Lead and Digital Lead for resolution.
• Support working capital, enterprise cost optimization, and other reporting needs with timely, accurate, and well-structured analysis.
3. Collaboration with S2P Pod and GBS
• Work closely with GBS teams and the Insights & Capability Lead to troubleshoot data issues, track operational performance, and support process changes related to new tools or policies.
• Provide feedback from frontline experience to improve S2P processes and workflows.
• Assist in aligning reporting outputs and insights with GBS transactional data and master data governance.
4. Policy and Governance Support
• Support the rollout and adoption of procurement policies and governance frameworks through training preparation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Partner with the Insights & Capability Lead to track compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Act as knowledge resource and first point of contact for day-to-day questions about policy execution and reporting processes.
5. Continuous Learning and Development
• Build expertise across multiple Procurement domains by supporting diverse initiatives and collaborating with the Global Supplier Governance Lead to gain exposure to Scope 3, SRM, risk management.
• Actively participate in agile routines such as planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to build understanding of agile ways of working. Model agile practices and provide basic guidance to support adoption across teams.
• Capture lessons learned and document processes to create a strong foundation of knowledge for the team.

②裁量労働制の場合:裁量労働手当として職務グレードに応じて50,000~100,000円支給
③フレックスタイム制の場合:月間の所定労働時間を超えて勤務する時間に対して時間外勤務手当を支給
①Base salary: will be decided by the candidate's experience, skill and capability.
②When Discretionary Work System is applied: Discretionary work allowance will be paid.(50,000~100,000yen, based on the Grade)
③When Flextime System is applied: Overtime allowance will be paid for time worked in excess of prescribed working hours.

応募資格

【必須(MUST)】

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, procurement enablement, or transformation roles, ideally within a global/matrix environment.
• Experience working with data and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Databricks or similar platforms).
• Strong ability to interpret data and analytics, turning them into actionable insights and visually compelling narratives with advanced PowerPoint skills to create high-impact executive presentations.
• Experience with agile operating models and cross-functional collaboration.
• Business-level or higher proficiency in both Japanese and English.

【歓迎(WANT)】

• Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) or recognised professional certification (CIPS, CPSM).
• Familiarity with procurement processes and systems such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or equivalent.
• Formal Agile Coaching certification or equivalent hands-on coaching experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to clean, validate, and interpret data for reporting and decision-making.
• Experience working directly with Global Business Solutions (GBS), Shared Services, or Centres of Excellence.
