Role Summary The Recipe Platform is strengthening its internal technology foundation to support a global consumer product used at massive scale. This role leads internal IT and corporate engineering, with a strong focus on AI－driven automation, secure infrastructure, and improving internal productivity. You will act as the practical IT leader, guiding a small distributed team across Japan and the UK. Key Responsibilities, AI ＆ Automation － Drive automation initiatives that streamline workflows and enhance engineering efficiency. － Introduce AI－supported tools to modernize internal operations. － Build internal self－service systems and orchestrated automation pipelines. － Internal IT Leadership － Own planning, evolution, and daily operation of all internal IT systems. － Modernize internal tools, including evaluation of new ticketing and workflow platforms. － Improve service quality and stability of a cloud－centric IT environment. Security ＆ Compliance － Maintain strong internal security standards suitable for a public－company environment. － Manage audit readiness, incident prevention, and response programs. － Infrastructure ＆ Devices － Oversee network environments （Juniper/Meraki equivalents）. － Manage device ecosystems across macOS, Windows, mobile, and MDM tools （Jamf/Intune）. － SaaS ＆ Vendor Management － Operate and integrate essential SaaS systems. － Lead vendor selection, cost control, and contract management. － Cross－Functional Collaboration － Enable high－quality developer environments in partnership with engineering teams. － Present IT strategy and risk assessments to executive leadership. － Work as a “player－leader” in a flat organizational structure. Required Qualifications － Proven experience implementing AI or automation within corporate IT. － 3＋ years in an internal IT or corporate engineering leadership role. － Strong hands－on knowledge of device management （Jamf/Intune） and macOS environments. － Understanding of networking fundamentals. － Experience with SaaS implementations and security controls. － Vendor and budget management experience. － High Fluency Japanese ＆ business－level English. Preferred － Experience in tech－driven or public－company environments. － Strong adaptability, decision－making ability, and interest in AI technologies. Team Structure － Small internal IT team consisting of full－time members and contractors across Tokyo and the UK.
