What you'll do:
As a Business Development Representative based in Tokyo, you will immerse yourself
in a dynamic environment where collaboration is at the heart of everything you do.
* Collaborate closely with marketing teams and outside sales colleagues to deliver an
outstanding customer experience at every stage of the sales process.
* Drive the adoption of advanced product offerings by proactively engaging with
potential clients and understanding their unique needs.
* Initiate meaningful conversations with prospective customers, guiding them
through the discovery phase and providing qualified information to the sales team.
* Work hand-in-hand with cross-functional field teams to focus on specific accounts,
ensuring alignment between marketing initiatives and sales objectives.
* Coordinate demand generation efforts with marketing partners to maximise
outreach and generate high-quality leads for enterprise solutions.
* Partner effectively with enterprise sales teams within the assigned region to ensure
seamless handover of qualified opportunities.
* Prospect diligently to identify new business opportunities, qualify leads through
research and engagement, and set appointments for further discussions.
* Develop detailed sales and marketing plans tailored to target accounts, maximising
each opportunity for growth while fostering teamwork within the group.
* Utilise your experience and sound judgement to build strong account pipelines that
drive consistent year-over-year revenue growth in line with organisational goals.
What you bring:
To excel as a Business Development Representative in this forward-thinking
organisation, you will bring proven expertise gained from previous roles focused on
business development or inside sales—ideally within enterprise software or
technology environments.
* A minimum of two years’ experience in business development or inside sales roles
within enterprise software or related technology sectors, demonstrating your ability to
engage effectively with large organisations.
* Familiarity with big data ecosystems including data warehousing, data engineering,
operational databases, cloud platforms or machine learning technologies which
enables you to understand client requirements quickly.
* A genuine willingness to learn new concepts combined with curiosity about
emerging trends in technology that can benefit customers.
* Proven ability to collaborate successfully within cross-functional teams while
maintaining excellent interpersonal communication skills.
* Experience prospecting for new business opportunities using research-driven
approaches that result in high-quality leads for complex solutions.
* Demonstrated skill in qualifying leads through insightful questioning and active
listening so that only well-matched prospects progress through the pipeline.
* A passion for using technology as a force for positive change within organisations
coupled with enthusiasm for helping others succeed.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background is desirable but not
essential if you have relevant practical experience.
