You will work closely with client service leaders and consultants to expand McKinsey’s impact in Japan’s public sector by playing a key role in client development and generating new engagements. This process is divided into three phases: Business Development: This phase includes all activities before a client decides to move forward with a consulting engagement. You will help construct client account plans, manage opportunity pipelines, and develop materials for client discussions. You’ll also build relationships with procurement professionals in public sector organizations, such as ministries, agencies, and municipalities, while gathering intelligence on potential procurement opportunities. Capture Management: Once an opportunity is identified, you will help shape procurement processes in a compliant manner, gather insights on emerging opportunities, and identify potential partners for collaboration. You’ll also conduct competitive intelligence analysis to assess McKinsey’s strengths and weaknesses relative to competitors. Proposal Delivery: This phase begins with the release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) or tender and ends with submission. You will coordinate resources, create workplans, and ensure proposals are high-quality and submitted on time. You’ll also conduct compliance and quality reviews, help prepare teams for oral presentations, and ensure proposals reflect McKinsey’s expertise and client understanding. Your responsibilities will span all three phases, with a focus on engaging public sector institutions in Japan. You’ll act as both an individual contributor and a key collaborator with Social, Healthcare, and Public Entities (SHaPE) leaders and associates. Your efforts will vary depending on the client situation and workload, with a balance between business development, capture management, and proposal delivery. You’ll also help McKinsey stay ahead of upcoming procurement opportunities by gathering intelligence and preparing responses in advance of RFP releases. | 応募資格 |
【必須(MUST)】 ・Undergraduate degree・Understanding of the public sector environment and corresponding procurement processes in Japan ・Successful track record developing client relationships within the Japan public sector client or already have extensive network within the Japan public sector ・Experience and a good network of contacts to enable cultivating go-to-market partnerships and contracting/sub-contracting options ・Ability to take initiative to surface and pursue innovative ideas ・Excellent oral and written communication skills; Native in Japanese and fluent in English |
