Our technology and innovation, partnerships and networks combine to deliver a unique set of products and services that help people, businesses and governments realize their greatest potential. 【Title and Summary】 Senior Accountant The Japan Finance team plays a key role as business partners by providing the business with thought leadership and financial advice on business priorities to enable financially sound, effective and efficient investment decisions. The Sr. accountant will report to the Division Controller by working closely with the Japan Division Finance Officer. He/she will assume responsibility for the financial stewardship of the Business Unit and actively maintaining a strong internal control environment to support operational excellence. 【Role】 • Ensure accounting is in compliance with U.S. GAAP, J-GAAP, MasterCard Worldwide policies & procedures, and implements new accounting pronouncements in a timely manner. • Responsible for tax filing, statutory and regulatory reporting • Reviews accounting information for accuracy and reliability. • Prepares period-by-period analyses and explains significant account variances, when comparing actuals, budgets, and forecasts. • Performs detailed account analyses. • Works closely with multiple stakeholders including regional controller, regional tax, GBSC-Shared Accounting service, on complex accounting matters • Review Accounts Payable, Cash Management, GL, and Fixed Assets Operations & Systems • Conducts continuous reviews of existing accounting processes and assess operational efficiency and to ensure that processes meet the present and anticipated needs of business units, Worldwide Finance, and other stakeholders. • Participates in the development and implementation of process improvements to the accounting function to improve operational efficiency and quality of output. • Escalates any identified financial system risks and system requirements as appropriate. • Ensures delays and problems are promptly addressed by taking the appropriate action to resolve issues. 【Control & Security】 • Participates in the development, implementation and maintenance of cost-effective controls to promote data integrity and minimize risk (financial, operational, legal, regulatory, etc.) and maintains appropriate segregation of duties. • Ensures access to data, information and systems is appropriately authorized in accordance with MasterCard policies and procedures. • Participates in internal audits and responds to requests timely and appropriately. 【弊社について】 Mastercardは、世界200以上の国と地域で経済を活性化させながら、すべての人が豊かに暮らせるような社会の実現に取り組んでおり、 デジタル決済の幅広い選択肢を可能にしています。取引がより安全、シンプル、スマートで利用しやすく、誰もが、どこにいても利用できる包括的なデジタル経済の実現に取り組んでいます。テクノロジーとイノベーション、セキュアなデータとネットワーク、パートナーシップやあらゆる熱意を組み合わせた独自の製品とサービスによって、人々や企業だけでなく、金融機関や各国行政の可能性も最大限に引き出す手助けをしているのが私たちです。 また、DQ（良識指数）は、私たちの企業文化や社内外でのあらゆる行動の源となっており、社員一人ひとりの強み、考え方、経験を尊重し、すべての社員を受け入れる文化を育んでいます。それぞれの違いがあるからこそ、より良い意思決定を行い、イノベーションを起こし、大きな成果を生み出す、より良いチームになれるのだと信じているからです。 【募集ポジション】 弊社の日本財務チームは、ビジネスパートナーとして、財務的に健全で有効かつ効率的な投資決定を実現させるため、経営上の優先事項に関する戦略的リーダーシップと財務的アドバイスを提供する重要な役割を担っています。なかでも、弊社の日本部門財務担当者と協力し合う当ポジションは、部門責任者の直下で事業部の財務管理責任を担い、オペレーショナルエクセレンスを支える強固な内部統制環境を積極的に維持することが求められます。 【業務詳細】 • 米国会計基準、J-GAAP、および国際会計基準（MasterCard Worldwide Policies & Procedures）を満たした会計処理を行いながら、新たな会計基準も適時取り入れる。 • 税務申告、法定および規制当局への報告を行う。 • 会計情報の正確性と信頼性を精査する。 • 実績、予算、見通しを比較した決算期ごとの分析を行い、重要となる会計差異について説明する。 • 詳細な口座分析を行う。 • 複雑な会計事項について、各地域の管理責任者、地方税担当者、GBSC共有会計サービスなど幅広い関係者と連携し、協力体制を整える。 • 買掛金、資金管理、GL、固定資産の業務とシステムの見直しを行う。 • 既存の会計処理に関する見直しを継続することで業務効率を見極めながら、各事業部門、世界各国の財務部門、その他関係者の現状や将来的なニーズを満たせるよう、業務プロセスを改善する。 • 業務効率と業務成果の品質を向上させるべく、経理部門における業務プロセス改善の提案 / 導入に携わる。 • 発生した金融システムリスク / システム要件を適宜報告する。 • 課題解決に向けて必要な措置をとり、滞りや問題点が速やかに解決されるよう努める。 【弊社の情報セキュリティについて】 Mastercardの資産、情報、ネットワークへのアクセスに関わる全ての行為には、組織に内在するリスクが伴うため、情報セキュリティに対する責任を持って、業務を遂行することが求められます。 ・弊社のセキュリティポリシーと規定を遵守する。 ・アクセスされる情報の機密性と完全性を保つ。 ・情報セキュリティ違反または侵害の疑いを報告する。 ・弊社ガイドラインに従い、定期的に行われる必須のセキュリティ研修を全て履修する。 |
