We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Head of Business Development to establish, lead, and grow our presence locally. This individual will be responsible for building our operations, driving market entry, and executing our growth strategy in one of the world’s most dynamic renewable energy markets. ⸻ Key Responsibilities • Market Entry ＆ Strategy • Lead the company’s entry into the Japanese renewable energy sector. • Develop and implement the Japan business strategy aligned with global objectives. • Identify key opportunities in BESS markets. • Business Development ＆ Partnerships • Source, evaluate, and secure renewable energy projects and development pipelines. • Build relationships with local developers, EPCs, utilities, landowners, investors, and government stakeholders. • Drive origination of PPAs, grid connections, and project financing opportunities. • Leadership ＆ Operations • Establish and grow the Japan office and team. • Oversee project development, permitting, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement. • Provide leadership on corporate governance, legal, and financial structures for local operations. • Project Development ＆ Delivery • Guide the end－to－end development of renewable projects （site origination, permitting, grid applications, construction oversight）. • Collaborate with technical, financial, and legal advisors to ensure successful execution. • Ensure projects meet commercial, technical, and ESG standards. • Representation ＆ Advocacy • Represent the company at industry associations, government meetings, and market events. |
| 応募資格 |
【必須（MUST）】 Qualifications ＆ Experience• Proven leadership experience in Japan’s renewable energy industry （Solar, BESS, Wind）. • Strong track record in project development, market entry, or business expansion. • Deep understanding of Japan’s energy market, regulatory frameworks, permitting, and grid connection processes. • Established network with key stakeholders （government bodies, utilities, investors, EPCs, developers）. • Experience in structuring and closing renewable energy transactions （M＆A, partnerships, project finance）. • Fluency in Japanese and English （written and spoken）. • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to operate independently and build teams from the ground up. |
