We are now looking for a highly motivated individual to perform the critical role of "Casualty Underwriter" based in Japan. This position is responsible for managing the portfolio and developing distribution channels in a proactive way. Taking hands-on approach, this position should lead all the efforts to analyze, accept or reject complex risks and further enhance profitability. Join us and become part of our friendly, talented and passionate team! 〈DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES〉 ・As a casualty underwriter, set up annual to mid-term strategies to grow the portfolio, work closely with regional/global team, and take ownership to make the division profitable. ・Maintain and develop the distribution channels to constantly obtain submissions and renewal businesses. ・Collect accurate information needed to assess potential clients and decide on the acceptable risk for a policy. ・Make a decision to accept, modify or reject an insurance application after scrutiny of all the required studies regarding the risk involved, in line with the STARR’s underwriting guideline. ・Develop new/modified products to meet the clients’ needs and boost the topline growth. ・Collaborate with the regional/global team and utilize STARR’s best practices for the local underwriting activities. |

| 応募資格 |
【必須（MUST）】 ・カジュアルティ・ラインにおけるアンダーライティングもしくはブローキングのご経験（5年以上）・カジュアルティ商品に関する広範な知識 ・保険業法および損保マーケットに関する知識 ・ステークホルダーと良好な関係を築くための、コミュニケーション力、交渉力など ・ビジネスレベルの英語力とネイティブレベルの日本語力必須 ・ At least 5-years’ experience in casualty underwriting and/or broking. ・ Extensive knowledge of the insurance products in Casualty ・ Deep understanding about the local insurance market and regulatory requirements. ・ Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to build/keep good relationship with stakeholders. ・ Excellent language ability in both Japanese and English is a must. 【歓迎（WANT）】 ・国内外に跨る保険プログラムに関与したご経験・部下をマネジメントされたご経験 ・ Experience in handling multinational insurance programs is preferred. ・ People management as a manager is a plus. 大卒以上 |
