About the role: DNV Japan is seeking a surveyor to be engaged primarily with Japanese shipbuilding industry: Certification of Materials and Components (CMC) survey toward local manufacturers. Fleet in Service (FiS) survey and audit New Building (NB) Survey at Shipyard Smooth execution of surveys or audits in cooperation with local and international customers. Proactive and smooth communication with the local manufacturers and the ship's crew. The candidate will also be responsible for enhancing and strengthening the DNV Maritime position in Japanese shipbuilding industries. It should be noted that there will also be opportunities for the candidate to experience and learn about technical issued more deeply through discussions internally with other surveyors stationed globally as well as through actual CMC, FiS and NB jobs. The successful candidate will be provided with internal training and qualification schemes. 【必須（MUST）】 DNV is looking for a person with ideally at least a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering, and actual experiences for shipbuilding industries or in other classification societies.The candidate is: a team player, self-driven and thrive for opportunities to put your skills and personality to use creating customer value. understanding the importance of collaboration. supportive in initiating and developing leads to cope with challenges. confident in his/her own competence, at the same time aware of his/her limitations. structured, flexible and result oriented. having good communication skills, verbally and written in both English and Japanese. sociable, create a good atmosphere and recognize that feedback is the fuel of high performing teams. respecting different cultures. Language : Japanese (Native level) is a must Candidate needs to be flexible with the working location as they may be temporarily required to travel to the New Building (NB) location whenever required. |
