It is through our focus on efficiency, collaboration, and operational expertise that our customers and company continue to excel. 【Position Overview】 Vantage is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Director, Energy & Power Origination to lead the development and execution of the company's power strategy across Japan. This role will be instrumental in securing the energy infrastructure required to support Vantage's data center growth ambitions, ensuring power availability remains a key competitive advantage in an increasingly constrained market. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating, negotiating and securing power solutions for both current and future data center developments, while leading engagement with utilities, regulators, developers and key market participants. The role will also oversee utility connection and energization activities through project execution, ensuring data center campuses are delivered in line with customer and business requirements. This position requires close collaboration with Business Development, Site Selection, Sustainability, Construction, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance and the Executive Leadership Team to align energy strategy with Vantage's long-term growth objectives and customer commitments. The ideal candidate combines the commercial mindset of an energy originator, the relationships of a utility executive, and the practical execution capability required to deliver critical power infrastructure. They will be measured not only on utility connections delivered, but on their ability to secure long-term power capacity, create strategic energy partnerships, and enable Vantage's growth across Japan. 【Key Responsibilities】 ◆Power Origination & Strategy ◆Develop and execute Vantage's long-term power and energy strategy for Japan. ◆Identify, originate and secure power opportunities to support future data center developments. ◆Lead negotiations for renewable energy procurement, corporate PPAs, utility supply agreements, behind-the-meter solutions, battery storage opportunities and other innovative energy structures. ◆Assess power market dynamics, regulatory developments, pricing trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and mitigate risks. ◆Support customer sustainability objectives through renewable energy procurement and decarbonization initiatives. ◆Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership regarding energy market developments and competitive positioning. 【Utility & Grid Engagement】 Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with utilities, transmission operators, regulators, government agencies and key industry stakeholders. Secure preliminary and long-term utility capacity required for current and future campus developments. Represent Vantage in discussions with utilities, regulators and industry groups regarding power infrastructure development and energy policy. Develop strategies to address grid capacity constraints, transmission limitations and network expansion requirements. 【Delivery & Execution】 Oversee utility connection, energization and power delivery activities across active development projects. Partner with Development, Construction and Operations teams to ensure power infrastructure is delivered on schedule and aligned with project objectives. Monitor key milestones associated with utility design, permitting, approval and energization processes. Manage risks related to power delivery, network upgrades and utility dependencies. Ensure successful handover of utility infrastructure and energy-related assets into operational environments. | 応募資格 |
