【募集の背景 / Purpose & Scope】
This is a pharmacologist position developing anti-cancer drugs, including antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), multi-specific antibodies or engineered small molecules. Discovery, Tumor Microenvironment group is at the forefront of Astellas Oncology Research, leveraging cutting-edge science and technologies to identify and validate novel therapeutic targets and concepts. For instance, through collaboration with our academic partners at the Kashiwa-no-ha TME iLab, located in the center of the Kashiwa-no-ha Life Science Ecosystem, we integratively leverage advanced methods like single-cell transcriptome analysis, spatial transcriptome analysis, and multiplex IHC on clinical samples to discover new targets. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented pharmacologist to join our mission and help drive our dynamic research forward.

【職務の内容 / Essential Job Responsibilities】
（雇入れ直後）
- Plan and independently conduct appropriate non-clinical pharmacological studies including animal works necessary to promote the projects, including identification/selection of drug candidates, MOA confirmation, human dose estimation, and exploration of combination drugs.
- Function independently, work with a team-oriented lab environment and work within cross-functional research teams (product generation, pharmacokinetics, safety, CMC, etc.) and other internal/external collaborators/stakeholders.
- Work closely with ARO (regulatory group) to conduct pharmacological studies (mainly animal studies) and prepare study reports for IND application.
- Prepare patent specifications for parts related to non-clinical pharmacological data for the patent filing of drug candidates.
- Provide scientific leadership as in vivo biology representative in cross functional teams such as development team to contribute to the appropriate clinical development plan by generating high quality non-clinical pharmacology data.
- Provides leadership, mentorship, and scientific/technical guidance to junior staff.

①基本給：当人の経歴・技術・技能等を考慮して決定
②裁量労働制の場合：裁量労働手当として職務グレードに応じて50,000～100,000円支給
③フレックスタイム制の場合：月間の所定労働時間を超えて勤務する時間に対して時間外勤務手当を支給
①Base salary: will be decided by the candidate's experience, skill and capability.
②When Discretionary Work System is applied: Discretionary work allowance will be paid.(50,000～100,000yen, based on the Grade)
③When Flextime System is applied: Overtime allowance will be paid for time worked in excess of prescribed working hours.

応募資格

【必須（MUST）】

- PhD with 5+ years or MS with 8+ years of relevant experience in pharmacological studies
- Expertise in in vivo pharmacology, including animal handling, blood collection, tissue harvesting, and necropsy
- Drug discovery experience: track record of identifying drug candidates and advancing projects
- Working knowledge of IND-enabling pharmacology studies
- Ability to execute on complex, multiple projects within strict timelines. Good time management skills
- Excellence and rigor in data interpretation skills, demonstrated by a successful track record
- Desire and ability to work in cross-functional, flexible and team-oriented environment

- Antibody drug and/or small molecule discovery experience: track record of advancing projects from discovery into clinical trial as non-clinical pharmacological lead or member
