Since Appstore launched our Coins in Japan on August 26, 2014, the business environment surrounding Appstore has changed dramatically. As developer royalties have increased considerably, not only developers but internal and other external business entities have begun approaching Appstore about a variety of business opportunities. Given Appstore’s continued evolution, our Business Development team is looking for a person who has the curiosity and ability to lead an expanding portfolio of business partners, both domestic and global. The core mission of the Business Development Manager is to determine the best selection of mobile apps and games that bring the best possible benefits to our customers and then acquiring those apps from new and existing high－value developers. In addition, he or she will work closely with developers and internal teams such as marketing and engineering to enhance key metrics such as downloads and revenue. A successful candidate will be experienced in growing an internet business and leading ambitious projects in a period of its expansion.
· Analyze the global app market and select the appropriate targets for app acquisition. Also analyze key metrics of released apps, especially downloads and revenue.
· Assign targeted apps to BDM members and then lead and manage acquisitions in a set period of time.
· Create a productive symbiosis among developers and our marketing teams, engineering, and other related global teams to continuously improve key performance metrics.
· Bachelor’s degree
· 5＋ years of professional experience in the internet business
· Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions
· Excellent written and verbal communication including presentation and negotiation, and listening skills in both Japanese and English
· Strong operational skills; ability to expand the existing business based on quantitative analysis and market segment research
· Demonstrated success leading and growing a successful business through customer obsession
· Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in problem solving, ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
· Demonstrated personal and professional growth driven by a strong curiosity to learn
· Experience in Android or iOS application developer or equivalent industry including mobile
· Expertise in data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries
· Experience with planning and executing new business models or services
· Basic digital marketing knowledge
