Non-Controlled Key Account sales owns the clients of selected NCKAs based on global Key Account Program.
The sales should have regular client call, find opportunities, map internal/external stakeholders and create account plan how to develop the business, which must be aligned with global account strategy.
Quite important is relationship building and connect right persons. Higher level communication is required i.e., Director, Country manager etc and these layers are to be connected each other i.e. our MD talks to their MD.
The sales must sell full range of integrated products.
This NCKA category requires different sales-skillset from that of SME as clients are big and complex. Simple transportation service is not enough – carefully select the services and bundle them as service package.
Collaboration with Global Key Account Owners at overseas office.
NCKA is overseas owned so close relationship with overseas owners is imperative. Leverage the overseas network to deepen the relationship. Take initiative and sell “North East Asia” to all.
Be specialist of assigned vertical and talk with clients in same language
Each vertical has its unique terminology e.g., OEM in AUT. Understand terminology and background how clients think, then be a vertical expert. Also is important to feedback to internals as client/vertical ambassador.
