Operations Managers are responsible for managing billions of yen of annual operational budget for fluctuating demand, people development and operations objectives for one functional area of our Fulfillment Center (Inbound/Outbound). She/he may lead organizations of nearly 20-300 individuals and manage of Sr. Area Managers/Area Managers who directory manages 5-50 associates, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center.
We expect an Operations Manager to be the next Site Leader or Senior Operations Manager of operations functions! Site Leader or Senior Operations Manager will lead through others to execute on regional or network initiatives. Our fulfillment network launches new Operations sites every year, providing various opportunities for your professional growth. We hire Operations Managers based on location preference and the business’ current openings!

*Key Responsibilities and Job Elements:*

* Leading the FC operations where is the heart of our logistics business, and providing or contributing to customers with better services with their own new ideas. (There are many opportunities to experience the improvement of service.)
* Support, mentor, and motivate your salaried and hourly workforce to be more productive, higher performing, more diverse, and more just work environment and leading with empathy, have fun at work, and make it easy for others to have fun with having a vision for and commitment to her/his team members’ personal success.
* Works closely with other functions managers (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, S&LP, IT, and other Sr. Ops /Ops. Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in her/his area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other functions initiatives such as introducing our latest fulfillment technology.
* Able to address and solve operational and personnel issues affecting functional area to keep on a safer work environment.
* Surface issues with potential to affect multiple functional areas, along with ideas for solutions, to Sr. Operations Manager/Site leader/General Manager and / or HR.
* Lead large-scope projects such as diversity equity and inclusions and sustainability with site and regional impact.
* Drives creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable their Functional Area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed Business Plan. Sets / clarifies requirements and expectations for direct report members such as Sr. Area /Area Managers.
* Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Sr. Area /Area Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
* Leverages the Operations and Sr. Area /Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area.
* Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network.
* Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Leaders to load balance.

応募資格

【必須(MUST)】

1. BA degree or 3+years of relevant work experience of following 2-4.
2. Ability to demonstrate progression and increased scope in a matrixed in all available resources
3. Experience in leading multiple team or task management
4. Project management experience
5. Business level in English (speaking and writing)
6. Must be willing to relocate at time of hire (position location is most heavily weighted on business need but will also consider individual location preference)

1. Proven work experience in manufacturing /logistics industry
2. Experience in labor management (coaching, developing and hiring)
3. Experience in operations process or general management.
4. Demonstrated ability to think big and influence across all levels of an organization
5. Business level in Japanese (speaking and writing)
6. Experience/knowledge in Six Sigma, lean, QC circle, or any other analytical skill to identify and solve ambiguous problems
7. BA/BS degree /MBA
