仕事内容 【Job Summary】
A leading economic research and consultancy firm, is looking to hire a Business Development Manager (BDM) for the assigned territory. The main responsibility for this role will be to build the subscription research business within the territory, including new business sales and upselling and servicing existing clients. The BDM will focus on selling subscription services to targeted customer lists across a range of industries, including financial services, real estate, infrastructure, mining, corporates and government.
This position will serve as the experienced sales person located in Tokyo. The successful applicant will be required to organize client events and conferences, help develop targeted marketing campaigns and promoting with marketing team in the territory.
This role is an integral part of our growth plans for Asia-Pacific and is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company at the forefront of the industry. The key responsibilities within this role are as follows:

【Sales and Client Management】
• Initiate and close sales of subscription services, through meetings, phone sales and conferences.
• Create and execute strategies to sell subscription products
• Be comfortable driving BD outreach campaigns to prospective clients through email, phone and other communication channels.
• Research, create and implement sales plans for assigned sectors/territory
• Through market analysis, identify key companies in the territory, key individuals within companies, and establish relationships with the purpose of closing sales
• Coordinate sector business development initiatives and build a pipeline for the respective sector or country
• Manage relationships with existing clients to ensure renewals and upsell new subscription products
• Maintain a knowledge of global economic and business trends to facilitate conversations with clients
• Create sales presentations and lead meetings with prospective clients

【Internal Communication】
• Work closely with senior economics team to promote our brand and research being produced in region
• Prepare weekly sales reports to be shared with senior management
• Communicate opportunities, challenges and feedback to rest of immediate team
• Ensure contact details of new leads and prospects are recorded in company CRM system
• Ensure details and outcomes from meetings and calls are recorded in company CRM system
• Record and share insight and learnings on the prospects, clients and leads and share with rest of the team

【Marketing and Product Enhancements】
• Help marketing team to organise and manage marketing events to raise brand profile and increase sales opportunities
• Provide feedback and suggest product improvements to product teams, based on client interaction and competitor analysis

Reports to: Director of Business Development, Japan and Korea
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
応募資格

【必須(MUST)】

【Skills and Experience: Required】
• Experience selling to large corporations, government and/or financial services companies in the region
• A proven, demonstrable sales track record, with at least 5 years of experience
• Experience selling business and/or economic research to a senior audience
• Must be highly organised and able to manage multiple projects at once
• Candidate must have strong presentation and writing skills
• Fluent in Japanese and English; Korean language skills also desirable
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must be a self-starter, with the drive to set and reach ambitious goals
• Must be a team player
