Specialist － HE＆R Japan will work closely with the in－country and Regional HE＆R Leadership along with in－country business teams to develop reimbursement strategies for upcoming our company Medical Devices, that would not automatically fit into the existing reimbursement list
The role collaborates cross functionally with allied functions such as Regulatory, Clinical and Government Affairs in locally executing these reimbursement strategies
The role also provides expertise from a health economics perspective to mitigate negative policy developments, such as price revisions, inappropriate HTA etc. and form a proactive approach to leverage policy opportunities.
Preparation and submission of reimbursement applications to MHLW and be involved in the end－to－end process to establish favourable and appropriate reimbursement
Work with the HE＆R Leadership and the local commercial team to agree on priorities, develop and implement market access strategies for new and existing products.
Engage with internal stakeholders including local commercial and functional teams, by facilitating communication and collaboration, forming project task forces.
Provide reimbursement support to the business including sales, finance and marketing to achieve commercial goals and objectives.
Actively participate at relevant scientific conferences/workshops and professional continuing education meetings.
Prepare timely reports for the HE＆R organisation and the local Business leadership as the case maybe
Provide support to the Manager and execute any other activities as assigned from time to time.
Education and skill:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Medical, pharmaceutical, biological and scientific related.
Master’s or Doctor’s degree is desired.
Business level of English skill for both conversation and documentation are required.
Competence in MS Office applications.
Background Experiences and personality:
At least 5 years’ experience in Health Economics ＆ Reimbursement, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical/Medical Science or R＆D in Medical Devices, Pharma, Market Access Consulting, University or Government.
Possess strong writing skills and prior experience of medical writing or preparation of reimbursement or regulatory dossier
Possess analytical skills and the ability to work with complex product information, clinical literature, health economics data, to develop value messaging and supporting reimbursement strategy
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen with prior knowledge of the medical devices, healthcare, cardiovascular and neuromodulation areas
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with business level proficiency in English
Strong project management and leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset with the ability to work across a matrix organization with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.
