Earlier in 2020, we started its digital transformation journey to bring modern technology, operations, and practices into the Insurance space within the region. As we look to accelerate and expand our programs of work in the digital space, we will need to grow our team to take on the ambitious journey in front of us. As the Architect for Digital Solutions, you will hold the key responsibility of planning this journey, while relying on your technical expertise and system design experience to help us drive towards the optimal solution in our landscape.

【職務内容 / Key Responsibilities】
1. System Landscape Design
＊ Build an understanding of the current Business and System Landscape and construct the target future Architectural Blueprint that the Technology team will strive towards. This blueprint is expected to support all the Business Operations and Products within the Japan region.
＊ Leverage the globally defined technology pillars while building the Architectural Blueprint to ensure wide acceptance of the design.
＊ Offer transition and migration strategies – continuously moving us towards the targeted blueprint for our region – as programs of work are taken on within the Technology team.
2. Technical Collaboration
＊ Be a member of the Global Architecture team. Share and listen to experiences and technology insights of members spread out around the world to better improve our solutions and contribute value as a whole.
＊ Within Business Technology, be able to communicate and collaborate with system owners to develop a technical direction and an overarching strategy to move a platform forward.
3. Technical Quality
＊ Review the solution designs being produced by the development teams. Ensure that designs adhere to the overall architectural blueprint by reviewing the technical documentation generated by the teams.
＊ Perform checks within the actual code repositories to ensure that a level of code quality is being met and the documented solution is being implemented. Provide feedback as necessary to not only improve the code base, but the skills of the developer who is writing the code.
4. Self Improvement
＊ As the key contact point for our overall technology landscape, staying current with the latest trends and methodologies will ensure that we continuously, incrementally improve our organization.
【必須（MUST）】Primary requirements for the role include:
＊ Technical Expertise; Built modern platforms in the recent past. Microservices, Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, cosmosDB, mongoDB and/or Kafka are technology choices that you have made in the past and are not afraid to experiment if needed.
＊ Coding Know－how: Code Complete, Clean Code, Design Patterns and more are all books on your bookshelf at home. You have read, internalized, and applied coding best practices and can look to pass that knowledge and understanding to team members. Experience with C＃ and .NET are a plus
＊ Delivery; Demonstrated ability to deliver challenging and complex programs leveraging resources crossing multiple timezones and cultures
＊ Business Engagement; Effective engagement and alignment of IT with Executive sponsors and Business Stakeholders
＊ Communication: Effective discuss complex problems and solutions with Developers and Senior Executives alike. Able to give presentations to large groups of listeners and lead discussions to drive to a final decision or outcome.
＊ Language: The ability to effectively conduct business in English. Japanese language skills are a plus.
