We are looking for a HR Generalist to join our People Operations team. As maniacal as we are about our customers here at company we are equally as focused on our colleagues.

As a trusted member of the People Operations team, you will provide both a strategic and hands-on expertise that provides Human Resources support. The HR Generalist is key to ensuring the successful launch of HR initiatives, and is focused on day-to-day HR operations and the employee experience which includes on-boarding, benefits, performance, engagement, employee development and process improvement. You will be a main point of contact for our employees and managers which all helps to make Company a better place to work for our employees.

Responsibilities:
- Be a strategic partner to the Japan and APAC business leaders to reinforce Company's culture and drive the HR strategies around employee engagement, performance management, talent development and diversity inclusion and belonging and process improvement.
- Provide support to the JAPAC HR Business Partner and collaborate with the wider People Operations and other cross functional teams to ensure a remarkable employee experience
- Manage employees cases, such as performance improvement plans, health and wellbeing.
- Support the performance and talent review process by participating in the planning process, education, launch, coordination, and follow up
- Coach managers leaders by leveraging data and providing direct coaching feedback
- Educate & assist employees on HR and benefits offerings
- Support Global Mobility and Immigration team with new hire paperwork and keeping employee records up to date
- Manage HR email in-boxes and respond to employee queries and field to other team members as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, innovate, and participate in HR and team-wide projects focused on process or program improvement
- Maintain online employee records and conduct audits as needed to ensure compliance
- Generate HR reports and take action as needed
- Process transactions in the HRIS with focus on accuracy and timelines
- Prepare documents and materials for people related programs and initiatives
- Manage and maintain our communication tools
- Regularly update internal People Ops Shop wiki pages
- Champion Company’s Culture Code

To Excel in this role you will need to have:
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A strong customer service orientation with high attention to detail and follow through
- Excellent knowledge of Japan/APAC Employment law and experience in navigating complex employment law cases
- Must be able to work with confidential information and must consistently exercise good judgment in dealing with a variety of sensitive situations and issues
- Prior knowledge & experience with Workday or other HRIS is a huge plus
- Prior experience in a fast paced company preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills both in Japanese and English
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- CIPD qualification is an advantage
