Books team in Japan is seeking an innovative, results－oriented, customer－centric business leader to lead Strategic Growth programs, driving bold initiatives that delight and engage readers in Japan, both digital and physical. This newly created role will take on a portfolio of existing growth programs, but will also be responsible for identifying new opportunities and GTM plans, either working with the global teams or locally with Japan based teams.
The successful candidate will be detail－oriented and organized, a big thinker, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities. They will have the ability to influence others, be data driven and be an effective manager of scarce resources, with strong judgement. They will be a champion of the Japanese business, work closely with global teams to deliver products and services for Japanese customers, and will have the ability to translate customer needs into new products and services.
They will build and shape the direction of the team, keep them focused and motivated to deliver the right results. They will be able to quickly develop a deep cross－functional business understanding and the ability to earn the trust of business and stakeholders.
Key job functions include:
· Drive expansion of physical and digital books by developing and executing go－to－market strategies.
· Deliver key demand initiatives and projects for long term growth targets.
· Effectively coordinate across content acquisition, product management, technology, and other business teams.
· Building relationships and influencing local / global senior management teams using effective communication skills
· Grow and develop a team of product managers and a tech team
【必須（MUST）】10＋ years of demonstrated success in a high growth environment Customer obsessed, with sound judgement and ability to inspire and lead a team
Detail orientation and ability to dive deep into data to inform decision－making
Proven ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and adjust to shifting priorities
Able to communicate clearly and compellingly, build relationships and effectively influence cross functional teams
5＋ years proven track record of people management both in talent acquisition and development
Willingness to roll up sleeves and do what's necessary
【歓迎（WANT）】MBA strongly preferred
Experience in tech and/or media preferred, but not required
