Japan Consumer Innovation （JCI） Retail Training Team is seeking a Retail Training Program Manager to contribute to our mission of supporting JP Retail Employees through quality training solutions. Our goal is to enable JP Retail employees to reach proficiency within their function in the least amount of time, and continue to provide resources and support as they continue development in their role.
JP Retail Training team is responsible for content curation and development for our global eLearning and blended learning courseware － which may include developing and maintaining course materials, new hire curricula, specialist and SME curricula, tool/system launch training and adoption management, operational readiness testing, surveys, quizzes, quality metrics and other available tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training and assess learning and skill development from launch through mastery throughout the entirety of their lifecycle.
The Senior Training PM, JP Retail Training will be responsible for defining and prioritizing content needs for specific functional and regional areas in JP, working with mid－ and senior－level SMEs and leaders to develop/curate robust contents and bring them to life in an engaging and practical way. The ideal candidate knows how to create and communicate a training philosophy and vision that will affect change through engaged leadership. S/he understands the future direction of the business and adapts the training delivery strategy. S/he champions the voice of the employees and collaborates with global Retail Training teams to generate innovative solutions to challenging business problems and future training needs.
This role brings together art, technology, science, empirical data and social engagement in training, exercises, and assessments that develop the world’s preeminent ecommerce leaders and maximize the potential of the JP Retail organization. Partner with SMEs and stakeholders worldwide to develop/curate training content covering the concepts, tools, and processes essential to JP Retail employees at all levels of the organization.
Lead JP－specific training development initiatives end－to－end via problem framing, root－cause analysis, program justification, proposal to leadership, program development, and execution.
Manage content management work flow processes via learning management system （LMS） and monitor and maintain all completion, assessment, and other administrative data.
Dive－deep to identify opportunities to leverage existing global learning courses （both on－line and in－class trainings） and scale them to JP audience so that our target audience can effectively comprehend them in Japanese, closely interacting with Global Retail Training partners and JP Retail SMEs
Define clear goals for training effectiveness measurements and monitor them to modify contents for employee performance and development maximization.
Define and standardize work processes and make them visible under SOPs or process maps; and continue such Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency.

Fluent in Japanese and English
Experience in product/program management with expertise in end－to－end product management, change management, and process improvement activities; designing scalable solutions and implementation roadmap.
Experience as an HR or L＆D Business partner for an Operations－focused organization with expertise in designing, developing, planning, implementing and assessing training.
Familiar with instructional design principles and have created, edited and administered training content and programs.
BA or BS degree in a relevant field such as instructional technology, educational technology, organizational development, etc. is desirable.
Master’s degree in related discipline: Human Resources, Instructional Design, Organizational Psychology, Adult Education, etc.
