This position is key to our Japan business. We are looking for a manufacturing production expert with excellent leadership to lead our seafood manufacturing center in Kanto area of Japan.
Purpose of Position:
Cross－functional leader for all aspects of our Seafood manufacturing business at our company including Raw Material Sourcing, Manufacturing/Processing, Quality Control, and Continuous Process Improvement
Maximize Seafood department’s sales and profit by optimizing product quality, productivity and efficiency.
Optimizing production efficiency improving planning process and solutions.
Create strong corporate value through manufacturing and purchasing in line with our CSR policy
Interface with Food safety, DVC, MD, Finance, SCM, ISD as necessary to support the business and reconcile issues.
1. Develops and manage manufacturing strategy for the Seafood product portfolio
Creates long－term Seafood Manufacturing Vision/Strategies that supports the overall Seafood merchandising business strategy
Leads and approves manufacturing strategies including raw material sourcing, manufacturing operations plans, yield improvement, CapEx investments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Determines priority plans for Seafood manufacturing division and leads operations, raw product sourcing, and process improvement teams in the execution of manufacturing strategies
Drives the development and use of manufacturing ＆ sourcing best practices to improve finished goods quality and optimize production cost.
Develop Daily management / Standard operating procedures for entire seafood facilities and drive operational excellences.
Manage 3rd party manufacturing facilities productivity ＆ quality delivering target financial performance outputs.
2. Drives financial performance for the Seafood manufacturing operations
Collaborates with cross－functional leadership （for example, Finance, Factory Operations, purchasing etc） to establish metrics for measuring manufacturing unit performance
Collaborates with Seafood business team to develop manufacturing financial goals and delegates targets across departments and teams
Reviews and approves all manufacturing and production decisions （for example, capital expenditures, production plans, labour staffing models, etc.）
Determines strategic changes in manufacturing/sourcing strategy to achieve COGS goals
3. Develops/drives raw product supplier strategies and cross－functional collaboration
Builds partnerships with key raw product suppliers – domestic and global
Develops performance metrics to measure supplier performance
Partners with suppliers to develop new business opportunities and learn industry best practices
Aligns and influences cross－functional team leadership to support key manufacturing strategies/priorities
Collaborates with Procurement/Direct Import team on the execution of current DI programs and testing of future opportunities
4. Organization ＆ Talent Development
Lead/develop new organization structure, Change Management, and talent development activities to achieve short and long－term business goals
Establish robust succession planning for key leadership roles in team
Create/implement staffing, training, and industry best practice gathering plans to build and improve our meat manufacturing organizational capability.
Develop and implement factory resource skill matrix and evaluation program to maximize internal capability.
Develop and implement total production management program for seafood facilities
5. Project Management
Develop mid/long term seafood facility expansion plan and initiate/manage overall establishment project as core leader.
Drive automation investment project for all seafood facility efficiency improvement.
Engage with IDS to develop ＆ implement ERP solutions for seafood manufacturing facilities.
【必須（MUST）】Bachelor’s degree in Business, engineering or related field and over 10＋ years’ experience in manufacturing, financial planning, procurement management, operations management, or related field
＋20 years supervisory experience
＋10 years experience leading a cross－functional team.
＋10 year manufacturing experience
Fresh food manufacturing experience is preferred
English fluency is preferred
ERP/S＆OP/TPM/Six Sigma/Lean Mfg. experience is preferred
【歓迎（WANT）】Experience in food / fresh food production is preferred but NOT Mandatory. Any plant production management experience welcome
